Tomatoes are a popular and versatile local veggie and we want to celebrate it, so we invite you to join us for our 3rd annual TomatoFest!

Alongside Murphy’s weekly farmers market, CCFA will highlight all things tomato with cooking demos, family activities, food, a Bloody Mary contest, music, and more!

Admission to the general event is free! If you’d like to judge our Bloody Mary contest, tickets cost $10 and entitle you to a tasting from each competitor. You must be 21 or older to participate.

Save the Date: Welcome ​Home Veterans Event Returns April 18, 2026

CHEROKEE COUNTY, NC – The annual ​Welcome Home Veterans: A Tribute to All Who Serve event will return on April 18, 2026 at ​Western Carolina Regional Airport. Due to various factors and scheduling conflicts with other regional fall events, there will not be an event in 2025.

By shifting to spring 2026, organizers aim to secure an even stronger lineup of static aircraft displays ​and Veteran Resource vendors and ex​t​ended fundraising opportunities to enhance the experience for all attendees. Donate here

More details will be announced as the event approaches. We encourage veterans, families, and community members to save the date​ 2026 and join us in honoring those who have served in the armed forces.
